Sys.7.1: Change application used for file search operation?

Years ago I had a software to replace the poor original file search capabilities of the Finder (I think "FindPro" was the name). It was invoked just by hitting the usual command-F key combo. The improved pre-Sherlock file search application from Apple works well with 7.1, but usually will not start upon cmd-F (in 7.1).

Could someone explain a hack to invoke the Apple file search application from within the Finder by typing cmd-F in System 7.1 ?

(Or does someone still keep a copy of FindPro I might use to explore it about this feature ?)

Probably the easiest thing to do is get yourself a macro program and assign the Command-F shortcut to an alternative.

Your program may have done that automatically when you installed it.

Alternately, upgrade to System 7.5 or higher since the Find File DA is superior to System 7.1's command.
