Super 5 400K Floppy Drive

Anybody know anything about this drive? Has to be one of the ugliest peripherals for the Mac I've ever seen. Would hate to see the computer this would match. The metal case seems like expensive overkill, but perhaps that was a big deal in the 80s when PCs were made out of metal in comparison to Apple's plastic housing.

I can't comment on the drive itself, but Super 5 was a big manufacturer of third party floppy drives for Apples (both Macs and Apple IIs) in the 1980s. I used to have a Super 5 5.25" drive, which also had a metal enclosure and connected to a Disk II card. I'm not sure if they made a UniDisk 5.25" compatible drive, but I can verify the existence of the Disk II compatible drive. Mine died and has since gone to the recycler.
