it's great and i love it. can't find any PDS ethernet cards, will those farallon cards that work in the performas work with this? what are my options for ethernet?

Take a look at RaSCSI - it not only emulates scsi drives but also a Dayna Port. Works very well with my se/30 and se setup.

My understanding is that SE/30 only takes PDS cards designed for the SE/30. The non-compact Macs (plus the Color Classic) use the LC PDS standard (well, I'm not sure if it's an actual standard, but I believe these are mostly interchangeable with each other).

You'll want to make sure your card is specifically designed to work with the SE/30. It's also not compatible with PDS cards for the SE (which I have, and are even more rare)

SE/30 ethernet cards do seem to pop up fairly regularly on here, eBay, etc. But RaSCSI seems to be a great choice if you aren't set on going 100% authentic with it, haha

SE and SE/30 ethernet cards are not swappable, different PDS slots. Depending on how many compacts you have an external SCSI to ethernet is probably a good idea to have.

Both my SE/30's have ethernet but only one of my 3 SE's do so I have the SCSI to ethernet when I need it.

You're kinda stuck with the SE/30 and IIsi specific cards. The Asanté EN/SC adapter is a good choice, along with the RaSCSI...

so anyone got a dynaport for sale? lol. i'm looking at an appletalk to ethernet bridge; how slow is THAT going to be?

On an SE/30, it'll be a bit slower, but not too terrible. Now, on a 7100/80, it might be painfully slow.

An ethernet card that happens to have a PDS passthrough and a IIci-type cache slot that takes various 030 and 040 accelerators.
Sold all my stock for now though.
Thanks, is there a waiting list for the next batch or how can I know when you have more instock?

I'd also like to be on the waiting list for this!

There’s no list. I don’t know when I’ll be making another batch. There’s too much stuff that has to be finished first.

When there’s more I’ll have a new thread in the trading post.
