I have no idea if mines any different from normal ive bit opened any other classic mac although it does line up fine, that said my machine is from 1992 as Apple continued making them in Europe so mine is a late model probably one of the last made

Looked at your one carefully in the hope this was a common HDD bracket as I found that the 'standard' SE/30 HDD mounting bracket was not the best for mounting my SCSI2SD 2GB HDD. I ended up having to get some of those brass motherboard stand-offs and 2 x large washers and nut to attach them to the gaps in the base of the cradle. It's a bit of a kludge, with the SCSI2SD just fitting within the 3.5" bay and on a slight 5 degree angle as the PCB mounts don't match up directly with those gaps in the HDD cradle.

Anyone found a better, more permanent way (i.e. not taped/sitting loose in an anti-static bag) to mount SCSI2SD adapters in SE/30s? Have tried a number of 3.5" to SSD mounting brackets etc I had spare, but this was the best I could come up with!

I got my logic board back from Uniserver and I no longer get those bus error bombs I was getting before!

Does anyone have any recommendations for an SE/30 web browser?  MacWeb seems to never finish loading a page and iCab just hangs after it starts rendering.  I'm inclined to think it's not a hardware problem with my ethernet adapter, since Fetch and Network Time work just fine.

That depends on what system and how much RAM you are running. Netscape 4 seems to go well with System 7.5, and maybe even System 7.1. And you should have a minimum of 16Megs of RAM.

You should also run PPC/Fat Checker and strip the PowerPC Code from the program and system to make things run smoother.
