Screen glitch take 2

As I previously posted I have a Wallstreet 250Mhz and I had a display cable problem.

The problem has returned and no amount of reseating will correct it.

Its the 13.3" screen which was notorious for this sort of problem due to the main cable having a 90 degree twist.

Apple allegedly fixed the problem by offering a free fix with an alternative cable.

Now Apple are no longer do that but I wonder if anyone knows what the part required is and where to get it.

Also is it worth it as many claim even with the cable the problem returns.

Any help appreciated.

The right-angle bend was a classic Bad Idea (remember: about half of graduating engineers are below average). The delicate traces eventually break.

A repair is possible, though. Conductive-ink pens that are used to repair PC boards work well to reconnect the broken segments. To prevent a recurrence, use a small bead of epoxy over the crease (after the ink has dried). The cable will no longer flex at the 90-degree bend. Carefully reassemble, and you should be good to go.
