Replacement fan for Mac SE

HI All, can someone please advise me on what would

be a good replacement fan for my Mac SE.  It is almost a

perfect computer, Except! that the fan is so damn load

It just about ruins it.  Would be much appreciated by

me.

I'm looking at installing a Noctua (NF-A6x25 FLX 60mm dia) in a few week's time.

Please report back on your results with the Noctua.  A few people have had good success, while others found that they put out very low air flow in our SE/30s.  I was in the latter camp and replaced the Noctua with a different fan as, while it was quiet, it didn't keep my computer very cool.

It looks relatively closely spec'd with (my) original:

Elina HDF6025L-12LB: 14 CFM, 24 dBA, 0.9 H2O (Based on currently available docs, they still sell this model!)

Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX (@3000 RPM): 17.2 CFM, 19.3 dBA, 2.2 H2O

Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX (@2400 RPM): 13.8 CFM, 14.5 dBA, 1.4 H2O

Though, as always, the proof is actually putting it in and trying it out ;-)

The other thing I've done to quieten things down is to add a small amount of sticky foam sheet  to the top of the (original) Quantum HDD, which deadens the sound vibrations from that part nicely.

I have had a great experience so far with this Nanoxia Deep Silence 60mm fan. It’s extremely silent and in fact is spec’ed as being both quieter and having better airflow than the Noctua with Low Noise Adapter (12.1 vs. 12.5 dB and blowing 15.8 vs. 13.8 CFM). It seems to keep my SE/30 cool but note that I use SCSI2SD rather than a spinning disk.

@superjer2000, so far so good it seems to be OK - though haven't had a chance to take any internal thermal measurements so far.  It's so far performing better than the original Elina, but that shouldn't be too difficult - removing the old fan explained why it was sooooooooooooo noisy, bearings very warn / lumpy; in fact the HDD is now the loudest sound!
