An 800 or a 950? (Perhaps a 900 to overclock?)

My main concern is the power supply ratings.

I want to config as such:
-SCSI to SD card storage
-2x radius rockets (33mhz)
-SuperMac thunder 24

The 800 would cost me less (I have the ram to max it out and 30-pins for the 950 would be a good chunk considering I need to outfit the rockets as well) and most come with cd-roms installed. It would seem the only thing rarer than an 800's cd bezel is a 950's?

If i remember correctly the quadra 800 has a 200w PS and the 950 a 300w.

Do you folks think an 800's power supply could deal with 3xNUBUS and an sd bridge considering 2 of the NUBUS cards would be rockets?

Yes, a 200 watt power supply would be able to handle it. The cards have a maximum rating based on what the NuBus slots can provide.

The best reasons for going with a 900 or 950 would be to have five slots and up to 256 megs, plus more space for internal drives. The Quadra 800 can have up to 520 megs, but only if you install a modified ROM SIMM (and only if the motherboard has a ROM SIMM slot or you install one).

A Quadra 900 runs at 25 MHz, so if you can get a Sonnet QuadDoubler or a NewerTech Quadra Overdrive, you could have a 50 MHz m68040.

You wouldn't happen to be offering a PowerMac G5 for a Quadra, would you?

What is this magical Quadra 800 with 520 MB ram you speak of???

In terms of choices I'm really just trying to get my greezy hands on anything 700,800,900, or 950. :) (I know the 840av rocks, but I wanna play with A/UX to astound and amaze my friends)

I have had experiences with the Q800/PM81/9100 incediable disinigrating cases. Had a one basically turn to ash upon dissassembly :-/

If you have a place for it, the 900/950 would be the pick but it is a hefty and solid machine - the PSU is immense.  You could probably get it cheap locally as they're too big and fragile to ship.

And the Q650 logic board is identical to the Q800: only the case differs.
