Quadra 800 and Radius Videovison

Well, it seems my Q800 has a major defect with compatibility with VideoVision. With resolution set to 1204x768, and colors set to millions, the screen becomes garbled. This happens on many monitors, and even Mac native ones. This occurs even before Mac OS loads.

I am thinking it could be bad VRAM in this videovision.

Well, if I set the resolution to 640x480, I can run it at millions. But, with millions selected, the radius resolution manager only shows 640x480.

Could this card really only do millions at 640x480? If so I am not very happy.

That card is not a general video card, the video port is used for displaying captured video and is stuck at 640x480.

I see. So even though it -can- output over 640x480, it doesnt like to do so.

I wonder why Mac OS allows it to do those things. Its a real shame as it seems to be very fast.

Oh well, the raster ops card will be going back in it then.
