My 1400cs/117 has the 7.6.1 floppy restore images still on its stock HDD, and was pretty sure that’s what is installed on it right now.
Didn’t get the original CD with with the machine when I bought it, but I am fairly sure those image files are an OS restore, and not an upgrade. I’d have to pull the machine out to double check that though.
It digests only 8.0, 8.1, 8.5 and 8.96 didn’t test 9.0 and up because 8.6 is barely usable to my taste, finder is too slow. 8.0, aka 7.7, is probably the way to go.
Ok, I sorted things out! The problems were the files I had downloaded. With the proper image I could burn the bootable CD from Toast 4.2 on an iBook G9 900!
Using good CDRs.

I'm trying to figure out how to get CD ROM Images from The Mac Repo and Mac Garden onto a physical cd, I tried to use IMG Burn but that doesn't work. I've also tried using Basilisk II's ability to use the internal drive but, to no avail. Any other method I could try? Thanks in advance.
