I was more making fun of the fact that he was calling a company other than Columbia "producer of the world's toughest outdoor gear", then went on to find that yet ANOTHER company claims the trademark on that phrase. I could have sworn Columbia used the phrase, but I can't find it anywhere now.
That is my personal opinion about Filson, I didn't say it's their slogan... their tagline is "Might as well have the best." They don't make stuff with fleece, nylon, high-tech fabrics. They're pretty old school - wool, tin cloth, bridle leather, etc. If you touched some of their stuff, you'd see what I mean about it being tough. Columbia mass-produces a huge range of outdoor products, while Filson is made almost exclusively here in Seattle at their own factory and has a relatively limted product range. Don't get me wrong, I like Columbia products, but Filson is in an entirely different category of outdoor goods.

Anyway... this is getting off topic! I just think it's funny that they have a photo of an old PPC PowerBook on their site. Someone needs to update their marketing materials!
