Newbie / Getting Started disk images?

I'm curious if there are any good disk image sets for people just getting started with their first classic mac?  Something that could be available as a raw disk image that can be written using dd, for use on a "Getting started" type wiki article or thread.  It seems like someone must have compiled a set of disks that covers early 1.44MB machines.  System files, terminal software, stuffit, disccopy etc.

If not, I'd be interested in making something like that.  Something for getting the essential tools on a new mac, or boot testing a mac easily.  I just don't want to re-invent the wheel, and I don't have the expertise to make the best decisions about what software (and what versions of the software) should be on them, so opinions are welcome.

That's a great collection and effort, and very much what I was looking for.  Is it that your work?
I'm glad the link was helpful! I did not work to create this page -I just happened to come across this website on Google, but I believe that @Realitystorm worked with someone else to make it.
