Minor Troubles With A Pioneer DRM-602x

I've had this unit in storage for about a year now (it was part of a free conquest, which involved various Mac software, and a bodacious amount of SCSI adapters/cables). It powers up, and reads CDs without any issues.

So, what's the problem? :?:

Well, I've been wanting to play audio CDs on my Pluses, and my SE just for shits, and giggles, but for some reason the application that is used to open audio files is not compatible with Macs that do not support Color Quickdraw (it functions similarly to Apple's Audio CD utility program found in OS 8 & 9). According to Pioneer (and this information is available on their website), this application is designed for Mac computers running operating systems prior to, and after 6.0.7 (basically any Mac with SCSI compatibility).

I never had the drivers for this unit, and I never made any attempts to find them, which is one of the reasons why this unit has remained in storage. Fortunately, the Mac driver for this particular model was available on Pioneer's website (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Professional/Pro-Video/DRM-602X), and it appeared to install correctly both on my G3/G4 hybrid, and my SE (no attempts made on my SE/30 yet, since I haven't gotten around to reinstalling the motherboard, and yes, I'm aware that it is Color Quickdraw compatible).

I can read CD-ROM discs without any issues (of course, I can't run anything from them on my SE due to memory limitations). Naturally, Pioneer does not mention anything in their owner's manual about compatibility issues with non-Color Quickdraw compatible computers.

I have provided some pics below to further explain the issue at hand:
