HI there,
I have a dying miniscribe - probably not worth of resuscitating but I'd love to try.
The stepper seems fine, I put some lubricant on the bearing as usual!
However it would misbehave badly when trying to run anything or re-install the OS.
I managed to run Apple Personal Diagnostic and it failed the seek test. So I ran LIDO, it properly formatted it ok but when I started a verification scan, it started finding bad block. At 60 it told me it didn't have enough space to re-allocate it.
How can I tell the drive "disable the bad block"? I'd imagine those bad blocks will be coming up all the time but I'd like to try! Any other software I could try?
Thanks!
