Hello !

I'm looking at an auction for a Powerbook "PDQ" modelID312,
It's the full spec 192MB RAM, 8GB HD, etc.

Apple site says this model accepts maximum 192MB
It's also written 192MB on the pack of the unit.

However, there's another auction for a similar model (id312) which has 512MB of RAM. Wikipedia also says this is the max ram.
Even here, there's another thread of someone saying he's got 512MB (which again apple says is above the max)

Does anyone know of this model can be expanded above 192MB ? Or am I mixing multiple models ?

If its a Wallstreet-derivitive than its 512MB. Apple goes by the maximum size sodimm at the time and never updates it.

Yep 512MB is the actual max RAM for this model. However is is picky about the type of RAM module used. You have to be very careful to find low density RAM
