16MB definitely would be overkill for you, I would have thought.
Just tried that because one of my main issues was a very slow file manager. Not sure how to properly calculate this. I will say, I would like a way to load all of my file directories into RAM, or at least folders I tend to go into a lot that have a fair amount of files, like extensions, applications, etc.

I have found 9.0.4 runs best on my 7300 with 400mhz G3 card and 110(?) MB RAM. I was even thinking of downgrading my 9600 500mhz G3 256MB to 9.0.4, but I need to do some more tests first since I think some of the slow downs I am encountering might be Appletalk related.
