Lisa 2/10 widget on a Lisa 2/5

A bit of a side hack to see if not only the H8 rom could detect the drive but if I was still dealing with a buggy parallel port or a funky board in a Profile.

The Widget can be attached to a Lisa's external parallel port simply with a parallel port cable from an older PC. It and the Widget are pin compatible with the older Parallel port standard on the Lisa.

Power on the other hand is the tough part. You need +5, +12 and -12v. Nothing a craptacular ATX power supply can't do.

According to the ROM this configuration isn't possible but while the Widget does its seek portion of the self-test the Lisa will patiently wait with an hourglass for it to finish before dumping me to the "boot from" menu, which doesn't show the drive.

I'm curious to know what the LOS installer would say. Perhaps I ran into a situation where the H rom parallel driver doesn't know what a Widget is but LOS 3.1 does. I'll keep investigating once I can get access to my floppy disk stockpile.

Most likely the drive hasn't got an OS on it.

Also, there's a forum for Lisas-pop this in there next time.
