LC475 for a tenner

An eBay find, the plastics are in excellent shape - but on first examination, it appeared to be as lifeless as Mars. I removed the PSU, and fitted a known good PSU from one of my LCIIIs. I fitted a stick of RAM and some VRAM, gave it the old double tap on the power (one to prime the caps, the next to turn it on) and bong! Happy as Larry.
I’m going to take a risk here and not recap it - apart from anything else, my IIci’s are at the front of the queue for that operation. Besides, the caps aren’t showing any signs of bulging or leakage, and the motherboard is clean. Everything functions as it should. And as for its dead PSU? Just a blown fuse - and the voltages check out fine.
I’d call that a solid win. When I do get around to doing its caps, I’ll probably also clock it to 33MHz (if I can find a heat sink which fits in the case) and treat it to a full fat 040.
