iPhone 6 64GB

This was initially my wife's phone for a couple of years.
 

When her mother's iPhone 4s was having issues we upgraded her to an iPhone 8 Plus. She loved the speed of it compared to the iPhone 4s but it was too big for her to comfortably handle. My wife swapped phones with her and they were both happy.

Last week after several months of exterme slowness and battery issues we upgraded her mom's phone to an iPhone SE (2020) 128GB and she is happy again. I get to tinker with a "recent" iPhone that nobody is dependent on. I ordered a replacement battery and installed it this evening. So far the phone works great but I have to calibrate the battery.

Surprisingly the screen isn't cracked.  It does have a glass screen protector on it and the edges of it are chipped.

The 6 (and its larger cousin 6 Plus) are still very competent phones.

We still use the 6 Plus we bought new in July 2015, and it's still going strong (I chose to keep it at iOS 9, so it's fallen a bit more out of date than it could've been, but I don't care, as it still does everything we need it to do, and security isn't a huge problem, as we don't keep any sensitive personal info on it).

Still rocking an iPhone 5s here; not because it's vintage, but I use it in some pretty dodgy locales for work so don't mind if I lose a $100 phone that's backed up to iCloud.  Works fine, has been through three batteries and Apple released a security update for it last week.

My cell phone is still an iPhone 6, and with only 16g of memory. The storage is the biggest problem I have with it. If I don't upgrade it soon, I am going to have to replace the battery again before too much longer.

My 6 Plus is still on its original battery, and last I checked, capacity was still somewhere above 90%.

I'll have to change it eventually I'm sure, but I think something else is more likely to go wrong first at this point, given it's been used relatively heavily for over 5 years now.

I recently received an iPhone 5C. Haven’t decided what to do with it yet. Maybe just stick it in the box of iPods for now.

Related: After 10 years of Android phones (starting with the T-Mobile G1), I switched the iPhone a few months ago. 2020 iPhone SE has been great, love it.

I still use an iPhone 6s on a daily basis. I've been thinking about possibly upgrading to the SE (2) and letting my dad use the 6s to replace his cheap/flaky Motorola Android, but I don't know. The 6s is still a really competent phone... I'd say it's probably the best phone I've owned. But that bar is pretty low considering I used to use cheap Android phones. After a year and half of using it, it's still snappy and works almost as well as the day I bought it. Mine has 32GB storage and I've never filled it up. About the only problem is it drops calls from time to time, but I don't know if that's a problem with the phone itself or the signal/AT&T.

I use the camera on my 6s for taking a lot of pictures. Most of the time, they turn out really nice. I'm interested in how good the cameras on the modern iPhones are, considering the camera in my 6s is pretty good and they've made strides since then.

I'd rather pay ~$200 for an older iPhone model than pay $100 for a "new" cheap Android.

@Garrett Agreed.  The 1st Gen. SE, until the Touch ID sensor died (which introduced a power drain that killed the battery when locked), was an excellent phone.

Because of the failed sensor, I've fallen back on my 5, which works okay, but iOS 6 is pretty much useless nowadays for all but the basics (Safari still kinda-sorta works, Messages work, email works, etc.). Since Verizon said they'd shut down their CDMA 2G/3G network in December 2019; despite this, it seems they were apparently bluffing, because it appears it's still alive and well as of today, since my 5 is working just like it always has.

I dread the day when they shut 2G down for real (it will happen eventually :/ ).  Hopefully it won't happen soon....

6s owner here! They are still great phones and are fun to go down the “cough cough jailbreak cough cough” way. I still love the fact that it has the 3.5mm headphone jack. Don’t see that anymore.
