Internal SCSI Issue

I've got a partially restored Quadra 700. It came with nothing, no RAM, floppy drive, hard drive, or even internal device cables. It now has all the internal devices, maximum RAM and VRAM, and an Audiomedia II card. The only issue is the 500 MB SCSI hard drive. The hard drive spins up, but is not recognized. I know it works, as I tried it in the bottom bay of my Beige G3 Minitower. The Quadra will boot from a floppy disk. However, I am not even able to see the hard drive with SCSIProbe. Is this possibly a fatal flow on the motherboard? I haven't tried replacing the ribbon cable, but I'm pretty sure it was a good cable. I haven't really worked in System 6 since the SE FDHD was my main machine, or System 7 since I moved on from the horrid Performa 6200CD. So, I may have overlooked something, especially in the software realm. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

check the jumper settings on the drive... It's been a while since i played with scsi stuff, but there might be more than just the scsi id jumpers? Maybe you need to terminate the scsi chain; I have an SE/30 who's internal drive is invisible until I hook up a terminator to the back of the case (literally, i'll turn it on and sit at the blinking question mark for X length of time; the second I attach the terminator to the back of the machine, I get the happy mac and it's up and running)
