So I have been using my Windows laptop and I just tried both the apple computers I own. (Modern ish) I download from Mac garden (the exact link jmacz provided) and simply tell the OS to save directly to the mounted SD card to lessen transfers. From there I eject the SD card and input it into my IIci. Next I used the bluescsi SD transfer tool to get the file onto the IIci and it still a rather large file. It takes a bit to transfer. Next I unstuff the .sit and you know the story from there. All I get is a folder with 90mb and stuff it takes a second to do it's job which I know is not normal. How you download is also of interest, as in, what type of machine, what software, and how files are moved between machines, if applicable. It very much matters with old mac files because they're easy to corrupt in a number of ways sadly.
I know it sounds like the simple bit, but it is a major issue
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
