I bought a Compucable iDock II (a box that gives you ADB, two serial ports, floppy , and a 4-port USB hub) that sits under my DV imac that is used to drive a Fujifilm SCSI printer. Because of the lack of space I'm trying to use a trackball instead of the USB puck mouse and because I don't have any USB trackballs I'm trying to work with one of my ADB ones.
The problem I am finding howeer is that while I can move the cursor around with a trackball before the OS loads, as soon as the OS loads the system starts ignoring the ADB. I tried a classic Apple ADB mouse and it does it too. Same with another trackball and a Wacom tablet.
Yes I do have the iDock software installed and yes the USB/ADB bridge is seen by Apple system Profiler but otherwise I'm stumped as to what is going on.
I'm also running OS 9.2.2.
