Hi,
I picked up a mint G4 iMac for next to nothing, but the install CDs were long gone. I wanted to load OS9 as the boot OS. My original OS9 disk is too early for this iMac (9.1). I picked up an iMac OS9 install CD from eBay, but it boots to a black screen with it - so I assume it was for an earlier model (9.2.2 CD version 1.1 691-3638-A)

For anyone with this model, what version of the Mac OS9 Install disc was included?

I have OS9 installed on a G4 Cube. If I copied the drive, would work on the iMac? It's been too long ago for me to remember.

Thanks in advance for any input!

Can you provide the model number? There were a few different iMac G4s, and they probably came with different install disks.

You'll need 9.2.2, probably the factory disc will have a universal install. Here is the original software.

Thanks again for everyone's help. I was able to get an image, but not an installer CD image that worked from Mac OS9 Lives. I'm running PageMaker, XPress, Freehand, and of course Marathon.
