Mate!! ;D How’s it going? Great to see you, where the bleedin’ heck have you been all this time? Gosh, I’ve got so much to tell you – Terry and I finally made the state croquet finals last year!! We didn’t win, but we’ve both been training non-stop so I think this year might well be the year we make it through. You know how, last time we spoke, Penelope was just starting up that costume hire business? Well it’s really taken off this past few years and now she’s doing so well for herself that she’s been able to quit that job at the chicken factory! And because I’m her tuba teacher, I get free costume rentals. You should have seen my brother’s face when I turned up to his wedding dressed as a cactus!
Oh and I tried that recipe you sent me - you know, the one you created by mistake. You were really raving about it. I made it twice because I thought maybe the first time I’d gotten the proportions of the spices wrong or added too much Worcestershire sauce or something. Tried it again and it didn’t really improve it much – I think maybe mustard and banana aren’t the best ingredients to use as a sauce base. Sorry. But hey, everyone’s different. My supervisor at work - his name’s Tony and he eats peaches with chilli on them. Matter of fact he puts chilli on just about everything – when we had that morning tea for Julie a little while ago (she just had a girl last week, she’s on maternity leave for the next 18 months) anyway at the morning tea I saw Tony try to put some chilli on his lemon meringue. But anyway I made light of it and everyone was going on about how disgusting it was so he thought better of it. Oh and Tony has the coolest little dog, it’s called Ginger, it’s sort of like a poodle-sausage dog sort of thing, and it can bark Advance Australia Fair. We had a “bring your dog to work day” to raise money to put locks on the windows (people keep jumping out of them). I brought Rocky along and you know how he is with other dogs. This silly old woman came in and started complaining that she didn’t like having all the animals around, so I told her that if she didn’t like it she could go to another restaurant.
