Yeah, some of the statistics PHPbb3 has are pretty interesting.
As an example, I've been here since the start of this iteration of the board, and indeed, as of today I've been on the MLA 7 full years. In the intervening time, I've learned that perhaps a more interesting metric is how many posts per day somebody has.
Yours, as an example, is 2.49.
Christopher, the forumgoer with the most posts, has made 3.71% of all of the posts, which is 6.48 posts per day.
My own stat is 1.41% of all the posts, and 1.80 posts/day.
On older iterations of this forum we suffered from a problem known as PostCount++ by which people would post pretty random or pointless things seemingly only for the purpose of increasing the count of posts they'd made, as at the time we had one of those ranking systems.
It's something I've seen a lot of here, maybe not in the same way as it was done before, but it's worth thinking "What does this really bring to the table and add to the conversation?" when you make a post.
Anyway, that was my bit.

I'm the only person on page 2 if you sort it by most posts first who joined in 2009. the rest joined in 2007 and a couple in 2008

I've looked at the archives quite a bit, that's why I sometimes accidentily call you Trash80toG4
Speaking of being a cranky ol' coot, although I don't, I don't achieve this nearly as much as the other ops, but I've been a member of this community for 7 full years as of just about now.
And yeah, I'd say that I've slowed down in posting in the past few years, in an effort to have higher quality posts, and as I started realizing that not every single thread needed my input.
For two previous iterations of the MLA I had over >4000 posts each. Not all of those are posts I'd want to put in a portfolio as having excellent writing quality, but I'd like to think that as I've moved on, I've gotten better.

If I recall, back on the old Snitz board I hit over 5000 posts. And I will admit - I did more than my fair share of postcount++; back then - I was young, and despite being 18, still very stupid. I think I also hit that number on the phpBB forum pre-crash...I can't remember though. While I do post a lot, especially in the Lounge, on topics that are definitely not 68k-related (such as PCs, and cars), I'd like to think at least that I spend a fair amount of my time talking about the old Macs, and hopefully helping other people make the most out of them. Personally I couldn't really care less about having a big postcount, in fact I think I remember asking ~tl once a year or two ago to decrease my postcount by a few hundred because I found having such a large number of posts to be embarassing. As they say...."its not how big it is, its how you use it!"

It's always funny to hear that from the person who does have the highest post count on the forum. Typically when I hear somebody say that, it's because they don't want to be called out for posts that have no other purpose than to try to deflect blame, or to make bad jokes, such as "That's what she said."
Being a large part of this community is not about having the most posts or being seen the most often, it's about having well-written posts that bring something to the table.
It's not even always about having the most macs or the best 68k knowledge. It's about being present without taking your anger out on the forum, or making egregious amounts of posts with no point.
