HQX Files TYPE AND CREATOR

Does anyone know what opens HQX files? I assume it's StuffIt? If so, what are the TYPE and CREATOR for HQX files? The site where I downloaded all these files must have blown away this information so now unless I edit them with RESEDIT I can't get any program to see them.

Also, what about .BIN files? I guess I need the TYPE and CREATOR for those too.

I ussualy just drag and drop to a stuffit alias and that works for me, but cheking in resedit, here is the type creator:

Bin: BINA SITx

hqx: TEXT SITx

.HQX files are BinHex, and most archive/dearchive utilities can handle them. BinHex is a text file format converting BINary to HEXadecimal, making it easier to send a file via email and chop into chunks, and often decodes into another archive format like .SIT, .CPT or .ZIP. In some versions of Stuffit, there's preferences to let you continue unarchiving the file once you get it un-BinHexed, and optionally get rid of the BinHex files once they're decoded since BinHexed files end up being larger than the original archive file.
