At long last I am going to pick up a Quadra 650 tonight that I'd arranged over a year ago. I'm very excited that I'll have a box for A/UX again.

Yup, been awhile now since I've been A/UX-capable. I'm very very excited!

Real nice clean unit, with some kind of video card in it. Haven't had a chance to open it up yet, but it was running off an external drive when I got there - internal is evidently dead. Owner was super nice.

He also has an ImageWriter with a cut sheet feeder, some sort of LaserWriter (NTR?) and a 6000-series Performa or PMac of some kind. Anyone near ZIP 68133 want it?

Nice. I have quite a few Quadras but the closest I came to a Q650 is a working motherboard I have. I do have a couple 7100's which use the same case, built like tanks.

Very nice. I still have mine that was given to me almost 10 years ago from an old coworker. It's a great little workhorse. :)

Turns out there is no CD-ROM drive, or even a mounting bracket for it. I stuck in a tray-load 300i I had, but the faceplate is for a caddy-load. Oh well…

The video card appears to be a Thunder/8. No slotted VRAM on the card. (What kind does it use?) No slotted VRAM on the mobo, either (doesn't matter to me since it will be headless), and 16 MiB slotted RAM. I bumped that up to 64, for 72 total.

I located my old A/UX drive so I didn't have to reinstall. It did a self-check after booting, and rebuilt the kernel. Now I just need to get it set up on my shelf, and verify networking.
