Yeah, you could split them out as individual pins, with the DB-19 pin spacing instead of 0.1 inch spacing: 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1. But individual pins are really easy to solder crookedly, and it's kind of a pain to fish out 19 pins one at a time. I was trying to strike a balance between ease of assembly and "pin bendiness". :)

well that would not be a problem for me as i have a female db 19 connector that i have desoldered, pop them in, pop pcb on solder them up.. and have a nice day.

another thing is to try 2's   2's seem to find nice, and don't get bent up like what you have going on there.

What about those DB19 connectors that go on the ends of cables? Are those still being produced?

It might be possible to adapt one of those?

Maybe you can streamline the model selection. The Floppy Emu that comes stock without the onboard DB19 could be adapted to include a cable similar to that used on the Apple external drives, instead of the flat ribbon cable that goes to a PCB containing the PCB-mounted DB19 port which seems to be going extinct.

It isn't ideal, but it would solve many problems.

another thing with the db25, it would not be hard to 3D print up a JIG,  or mill one out of wood, then then place the male DB25 on the jig and lower the chop saw and chop out a set amount maybe using 2 chop saw disks.  then just solder the haves on the adaptor that makes up a almost perfect db19, no big deal.
