does / has anyone used the handle on their clamshell ibook to actually carry it anywhere?

A third-party company used to make a handle for the TiBooks, I don't remember if they ever continued doing so for the MBPs...

I don't have a handle on my Powerbook 540c.

I carry it ok, apart from when it slips from my hands.

My Fontwriter has a handle, it's twice the size of the powerbook and weighs quite a bit too........ I may hold the handle but I hold the machine with the other hand.

A strong moulded handle grip which is inset/dosn't stick out could perhaps be the future.....

Developers take note, you heard it here first :D [:D] ]'>

so handles are good!

i think she was laughing at a kinda camp / geek combo that appeared as i walk out the room with it.

i fear i may never use the handle in public!

Huh? Why would you want a handle in the body of your guitar? If you're carrying it around, I would hope it would be in a case or at least a gig bag.

And carrying a clamshell around by the handle makes you look like a girl. :p

I did once see a woman in the street carrying a blue iBook. As for things with handles, I've got an old Olivetti luggable with a built-in handle and there is a Smith Corona electric typewriter in a far-flung attic somewhere with a carrying handle.

My most recent aqusition that can be carried in this way is a 1920's wooden lunchbox, the kind that builders and factory workers used to use. You carry it by a couple of brass handles and it probably makes people think "Now that man has LUNCH!" :D

Yes, she is right. It does look girly. Real men carry their iBooks between their teeth.

Or use a carry-bag like any normal person. Which renders the novelty handle rather redundant.

Nice! You are a man with TASTE!! The only lunchbox I’ve ever owned was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one. Now, in my old age, I must admit to having become conservative and boring in the lunchbox department – now I just have one of those plain plastic Décor containers.

Where do ya find all this nifty crap anyway? [8D] By the way, I almost bid on an accordion because I was jealous of yours but they wanted seventy bucks. I guess I just don't want an accordion as much as I thought I did. :(

Lol, heebiejeebies, i don't have an iBook but if i did i'd carry it by the handle. :p But then again, for someone that likes to act manly, i tend to do a lot of girly things. :p *laughs*

But at least unlike one of my mates at uni, i'd never paint my car pink. :p (one of my mates was saying he wants to paint his car pink, and i was telling him to paint it a colour thats a bit more manly :p )
