Sweet! Looks like it's missing a processor card or two though?

Have you got that Sun21 up on a workstation and hooked up to a Mac yet or is it still holding the floor down nice and steady? Haven't delved deep enough into the heap in the corner to unearth the loaner peripherals for the SPARC yet, but I'm slowly getting there. Keep an eye out in the usual places for your own KBD/Mouse, with your luck you might find them first!

Yep, it's just the plain board. No CPU card or anything like that, and I actually listed it on the 'Bay.

And the Sun 21" monitor? It is now the... star of my collection. :D

We'll have to get that Poor Man's KVM Switch project under way sometime then and you'll have a proper MultiMac setup.

I see the tiny little toy AIO you were talking about sitting over to the side of that 21" bad boy. [:)] ]'>

I just got a free laptop. An HP Pavilion G7, to be specific. It had several hardware problems, like the power button cable which kept coming detached, and the fan not spinning up. I fixed both of those problems, destroying the case plastic in the process. That was the least of my worries.

Because it was crawling with malware. Ugh...

:scrambled:

I'll take that into consideration.

Norton was on it, though. And...  It was never activated. Big help that was.

I'll vote for a cocktail of Bitdefender Free and MalwareBytes. (Once it's been nuked of course.)

I successfully cleaned up the computer, taped over the webcam, and gave it to my little sister, who loves it. It was free, so I can't really complain.

It's better than my current laptop, but I'm thinking of a nice MacBook Pro this year... ;)

Too bad it's not Blueberry. ;)

I found the rest of the loaner goodies to get the SPARCstaton 5 up and running, but you'll have to pay this time. I have a very cool monitor for your Quicksilver that needs a good home sitting right next to that Sun21. You have to take it off my hands and give it the TLC it deserves as payment for the swag from your last visit. I'm organizing myself out of space and haven't hooked it up in years.

I'm running two 1600x1200 LCDs off my QS'02 and it rocks in Illustrator. :D

Aw, cool! I love TLC work... ;)

As for the mouse, I'm thinking about resoldering the cord back together, and getting it to work again... Hopefully, the actual circuitry on the inside is okay.

The only good thing is that it was $.50...
Time to go bluetooth!

Should have one, but P&P will probably be expensive.
No worries, but thanks much just the same. One will turn up over here to replace mine that's bareass naked. It works great and came with a nice KBD, but is missing its stylish Blueberry sarong. The peripherals came with a PSU donor for my beloved Graphite DA/466 that was my main Graphics Workstation for eight or nine years.

Speaking of deceased rodents, the Graphite Pro Mouse from the DA fell prey to Apple's form over function mentality. They put next to nothing in the way of strain relief for the cord to prevent fatigue. It's sitting in a hacks box gutted and halfway thru conversion as a spherically correct ADB pointer for the multi-generational, cross platform KVM setupl! :D

Apple Studio Display CRT, ADC. Thanks, Trash80toHP_Mini!! :D
