Big Haul in Pittsburgh!!

The Mac market in Pittsburgh has been sort of dry lately on Craigslist. There's your occasional overpriced Mac or two, but nothing too big in terms of older stuff. That changed a few days ago when someone posted a big lot. For $80, I figured it was well worth it. Here's what those four hard-earned Andrew Jacksons earned me:

--Mac SE. It's a pretty ordinary SE in most respects but it has an Ethernet card installed. The hard drive doesn't spin up, but I do have an extra sitting around so it's not a big deal at all. I'm not sure of the RAM yet but given it has Ethernet I am willing to bet it's got more than 1MB.

--Mac LC. This one doesn't do anything when turned on. I haven't popped it open but I suspect caps (either on the logic board or PSU) or perhaps a leaked battery (happened with the LCII I got two years ago). If its hard drive is functional, that's good enough for me since I can stick it in the SE or some other Mac that needs a new drive. I'm not sure if I'll get it working as-is yet, but it may be worth it if I can find a good 12" monitor for it. It's in good cosmetic condition, too. No idea about the RAM, as I haven't popped it open yet (this one actually has the screw installed).

--Personal LaserWriter LS. Getting a LaserWriter is tough enough as-is since most people don't want to ship them, so this was a nice pickup. It may not be a network model, but that's OK; I can use this one with the Classic II at my apartment and throw the 4/600 PS into service as a network printer (I was hoping this printer would be a Personal LaserWriter NT, but I'll settle for the LS, too). Looks to be in good shape.

--Three short ADB keyboards. One is the original clicky model, which I already stuck on the SE. The others are the Apple Keyboard II. One of these already went to an SE SuperDrive I bought recently which didn't include a keyboard. The other looks like it had its power key replaced, as it's a different color than the rest of the keyboard. Whoever put the key on did so incorrectly since the key is backwards, but I suppose I can fix that relatively easily.

--Two Apple Extended Keyboard IIs. I honestly have no room for these; I need to minimize space when I have these Macs set up (especially when I take them to places like church to use with kids). They both look OK to me; I'll probably list them in the Trading Post eventually.

--Two AppleDesign keyboards. Same deal as above.

--One square ADB mouse and five teardrop ADB mice. All are original Apple equipment. You just can't have enough of these, even if I did just find a box with four of them inside. Of course, the SE needed one.

--A bunch of random floppy disks. There are two original MacDraw disks in there, plus one for the tour of MacDraw. All are the Apple-branded, pre-Claris version of MacDraw. Also included are the LaserWriter's software install disks and the Macintosh Basics disk, which likely came with the LC.

--A yellow disk drive protector. This is the kind that came in the 800K drives.

--The original listing had a few manuals, too, but I didn't get them from the seller. No big deal since I really would have no use for them.

This was worth braving rush hour traffic for. I almost got another SE from nearby Cleveland, but it was already gone when I inquired.
