I recently purchased an AppleColor High-Resolution RGB Monitor Rev. A (M0401). However, it did not come with a video cable. Will this cable listed here work for it (part number 590-4161-A)? Will this monitor work with a Quadra 660AV?

That cable is indeed the correct type. And as long as the Mac has a 15-pin monitor port, it should work fine (barring maybe some very early Mac II video cards?).

You probably already bought a cable, but if not, try this one. $9.99 shipped from Amazon, I just bought one and it works great.

Yes, the monitor should work fine. I had a 660av for a while. Used it a couple times with a M1212 14" Macintosh Color Display (basically the M0401 with the brightness & contrast dials on the front, and a tilt/swivel stand built-in). Unlike the PowerMac 6100 series, the 660av still has a regular Mac video port.
