.  .  .  I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing when you have to list stuff you've found in your own hoard as being in the conquest category.

Well, I've been looking for weeks for my SE/30 Pivot Card to do something/anything not PowerCache related for a bit. I finally found a little bit of distraction hiding underneath the crud at the bottom of the Compaq Portabe II KBD hack drawer of all places. :

©1989 SuperMac COLORCARD SE/30  -  I remember testing this one. It came with the cage and riser for the IIsi. I wish ALL the VidCard makers had made the cable and the backplane connector inseparable like this assembly. Sticker I sealed the bag with says Spectrum 8, that'd be TattleTech'd info from the DeclROM. 8-bit doesn't ring my chimes, but hey, I've got a working SE/30 to play with now!

With them I found a cable assembly. It's a 12 pin keyed female header for shrouded header pins <-> DA-15 cable. Everything about it screams Radius/SE. DA-15's mounted on one side of an angled extension plate for bolting up to a card installed parallel to the backplane. The production value/construction method and shielded signal line are identical to the Color Pivot cable. Only one line like that - GS Pivot's the best guess, I may have the fancy cover plate somewhere. It's got a hole on the other side of the plate for a BNC connector and I've got a Magic Bus card hiding somewhere in the RCPII/IIsi drawer. Now I get to think about looking for a card that fits in between that I don't actually remember ever having  .  .  .  sure looks like I might have one  .  .  .  somewhere.

Found yet another ASANTE Mac Con for IIsi SE/30 buried with them, but this one is only a Rev.2 with Thin/Thick connectors, no 10bT Transceiver on board. It's the only ASANTE card I've ever seen for any interface with a rework wire on it.

That's it folks. Some things I knew I had and some I've managed to liberate from previous lifetimes.

I looked up the specifications for the SuperMac ColorCard SE/30. What a lame card! (Only saving grace is QD Acceleration)

Like I said, it doesn't ring my chimes, but you're not taking the developmental timeline into consideration. QuickDraw acceleration at 640x480, even if only 8-bit color would have been quite useful for doing graphics in 1989. I was doing them in B&W on an SE at the time. Monitors were mostly small and besides, who wanted to schlep anything larger than 640x480 around in one hand with the SE/30 bag in the other?

How many? IDK offhand, they all came mixed in with sizeable batches of NuBus cards I've sniped off eBay in years past. At a guess, more than one handful, but less than two and another NIC from some other mfr. as well. If I ever set up a network again to test them I won't need to keep so many around cluttering up the joint. :lol:

edit: wait a sec, that guesstimate was for IIsi/SE/30, did you mean for all the different models of Macs? No clue at all really, but definitely going on three hands full.

I was referring to IIsi and SE/30 cards. If at some point you are looking to get rid of one, I would be interested

I realize the SuperMac card came out in 1989, not bad really, I definitely lost a little bit of perspective. After installing 32-bit QuickDraw, and going to 24-bit color depth, I don't know if I will be able to go back to 256 colors to gain QuickDraw acceleration. For some people though, the acceleration might be necessary.
