A PC upgrade... sorta :)

Since I have been having issues with my Pentium 733 desktop PC that I use to help repair customer machines, I've been looking for a way to fix it cheaply.

I found an auction on eBay for an Intel socket 370 motherboard, P3-733 processor and 256MB PC-133 SDRAM for $25 with shipping included. While it's the same speed, I'm not sure what is up with the one that is currently being used. It could be the memory or the motherboard.

I also purchased a refurbished 60GB hard disk on ComputerGeeks for $34 plus shipping. In the past I had a refurbished 40GB from them in one of my Macs for a couple of years and it worked great.

I could have bought a newer motherboard for about the same price as all of this but I would have still needed to purchase a processor, DDR or DDR2 memory and a hard disk so I thought I did very well. :)

The parts have finally arrived. Hopefully these will be more stable than what I am using now.
