Nah, they have no problem booting from express card slots. One of my friends is thinking about getting an SSD expresscard for his mbp (you might want to look into it as they are decently cheap and give you a huge improvement).

If you are cautious of cutting a cable and wiring it up or w/e (from what I've seen of diagrams it is really easy and I think just a rewire and a fuse or something added?). Their is a site that sells pre modded cables. Seems like the MDD would be the easiest/best machine to fix up :)

Well, classic mode does not emulate I'm not 100% if it does virtulization or is just an interpreter, but it is not emulation. I was suggesting that because G5s can run classic mode (while not os9) so that might be a beast to check out!

Jealousy! I really like the g5 iMacs a lot since they have a very small foot print and are the fastest non pro machines that can run PPC code.

Haha I like the botnet suggestion. My htpc machines can already double as emulator boxes. I love th kitchn idea and I might do I but the kitchEn is pretty small.
