What pins would you scope first on a simasimac SE/30 with no sound?

Simasimac.
No sound.
NMI switch functions mechanically but has no effect (does have continuity to GLUE pin 9 and RP8 pin 1).

What would you check first with an oscilloscope for the most basic, necessary elements to pass the POST?

is this the same /30 you've been prodding at for years?

It would help if you kept all your diagnosis questions in one thread, instead of just making endless new ones.

anyways, i'd first make sure that there really is no sound. test speaker connector, test headphone jack, verify all connections on the sound circuit

then if that doesn't help, make sure the ROM traces are properly connected.

Ah man, so sorry to offend...a year off and on yes. You are one world class grumpy ole codger though so congrats on that one. All the stuff you mention is fine.

i dunno man. you're continuously asking for help with 1 (one) board, and just keep posting endless threads asking about one tiny detail about said board.

by my count, you've made 11 (eleven!) threads about this one singular buggered up board.

it's just an endless loop here. if you had everything in one place, say... a project thread... it would be a lot easier for people to give you free pointers.
we'd know exactly what you've tried, and what to advise.

instead you just keep posting new threads and going through the same motions in them.

answer is the same as always. check your ROM connections :)

if there are 11 posts over years those are regarding four different SE/30s three of which are in 100% perfect condition now. I'm simply working on a reloaded board for the last 12 months or so off and on. Be well and try to relax.
