Macintosh SE works fine then completely dead an hour later.

Just an update. I gave into temptation and bought myself a PicoPSU and a MacSE adaptor from dekunukem. I got a decent 12v powerbrick, but there's only a BlueSCSI instead of any real drives. I've added another PSU to the "mustrecap" pile together with my Quadra 610's. So I really must do them both. But at least I got myself running and have been enjoying using the Macintosh SE since. For somebody who has come fairly recently to the Retro Mac scene I am really grateful for everybody who has done so much to make this easier for newcomers like me! Cheers Ferg

Looks great! I've recapped one of those PSU's in an SE of mine, got another ready to test and and another in an SE/30 that will probably need to be re-capped. Looking at your working area there, I think you made a great choice taking the alternative path and getting yours running with the pico. Its a very nice little machine there - enjoy!

I'm guessing that you keep your really rare stuff locked up in that cabinet! ;)

This looks like a cosy space!

Unfortunately not! The cupboard on the right was an attempt to get all my cables down to a reasonable number. But the cupboard on the left is purely boring paperwork!
