Any tips for displaying a simple black/white image on a Newton 2100 or eMate?

Howdy everyone,

I've got an eMate 200 + a nicely-specced Apple Newton 2100, and an era-appropriate Mac Performa 575 to sync them with. I'm doing a fun little project for work and it occurred to me that it would be super cool to display the logo of my project on the Newton and/or eMate screen, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this.

If I have a simple / small graphic (starting with a JPEG or GIF but I'm flexible here of course), what's a method I could use to get that image displayed on the Newton?

Thanks!

Huxley

Avi's Backdrop? http://www.drissman.com/avi/newton/AvisBackdrop/gallery/ . I haven't used it myself, so I don't know how easy or hard it is to get your own images into a backdrop.

Or, on the face it it, maybe this: http://www.unna.org/view.php?/applications/backdrops/DropPicture0.1a3

Or, set up a simple web page in something like Claris Home Page with your graphic, import it to your Newfon, and see if opening it with Net Hopper, Pocketweb or NewtsCape does the trick.

Newton Press (MacOS) was supposed to be able to create Newton Books capable to displaying graphics as well as text on a Newton.

For many of these, unna is your friend, but I think some of it still out there independently of the unna archive.
