  1. Nevermind... I needed to ground pin 4 to 11 (C&VSYNC.GND) and not pin 1 (1 RED GND/Chassis)! http://old.pinouts.ru/VideoCables/MacVideoToVGA_pinout.shtml ...In case there's anyone who also has this issue.
  2. Hi Everyone! I am trying to get my 'AppleColor High-Resolution RGB Monitor' (M1297) working with my SE/30 with a hacked-in IIsi pivot. It just doesn't want to detect it... However if I first connect a VGA monitor through a Mac to VGA monitor adapter, let the computer boot, then switch over to the RGB AppleColor monitor it works. Otherwise, the pivot does not initialize (or will initialize at the default portrait mode that the RGB monitor ignores.) I have the pivot directly wired at the moment to a DA-15 connector, as shown here. Does anyone have any thoughts?? I've experimented jumping the sense lines to no avail. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

    Ethertalk crossover cable

This guy on eBay has been selling off a huge lot of these cards for like two years. $10?? I bought three. Don't even worry about crossover cables.. Install Open Transport and Fetch, hook it into your LAN and then FTP/AppleShare over IP everything! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Macintosh-Color-Classic-Ethernet-Card-Apple-LC-575-PDS-Farallon-New-Networking/231332620598?epid=1431958381&hash=item35dc7fa936:g:zSgAAOxyyFhTeL5i You will need to do a bit of configuration but it looks like it's clearly outlined here: http://appletothecore.me/files/color_classc_network_card_install.php

Oh, absolutely! Just a matter of writing the software.

That and it's way more capable and expandable if you know your way around linux!

@ants This is so awesome, great work! I wish I hadn't gone MIA for the entire summer.. (That other router really is so fast!) BTW .... I broke out my Macintosh portable the other day. Its internal modem port has serial lines just like the modem port on the rear.. I wonder how difficult it would be to make that mini router communicate with the portable over PPP or SLIP ...

@Trash80toHP_Mini Woah, the second link.. I will have to try that with my NAS.. Usually I just use Transmit to FTP the files on my SE/30!

Just powered it up.. this thing is FAST! And it runs OpenWRT, so we know the software is good. Advanced settings is a whole different config portal.. with a great warning message. It connected to my wifi in seconds and I'm posting this now via its connection.

@ants Sorry I've gone MIA! Every weekend for the past few weeks I've had to travel. (And May isn't looking too great in terms of free weekends.) I'll play around this upconing week with the VM300 and see what I can get. Also, that gl-inet router finally came in. I haven't had a chance to play with it either, but I will. Edit: also, I was finally able to get a PowerCache card. It should be here next week and I can finally utilize Bolle's ProtoCache adapter!

Ok, so after a few more attempts I was able to get it to work.. Not sure what went wrong in the first place since it worked on another computer without changing any settings!

    Macintosh SE/30 Digi-Key Capacitor List

Interesting. It seems to work for me, but it looks like there's a javascript or something that loads the items up. Can you check and see if you have an adblocker or something that may be preventing javascript from running? The way it loads looks a bit like a popup blocker ay flag it..

@ants The icons look great! @joethezombie Weird mine doesn't work then with my MacCon. I'll have to take it out and see if resetting it works. I do know that it was properly connected to my WiFi.. Hmm. The VM300 is quite flaky, I'm going to see if there's an OpenWRT route we can do as well. (Still waiting on that OpenWRT mini router from Newegg..) Once I have it I'll see what can be done.

@ants Awesome! Still waiting on the new module.. And yeah, @K55 beat me to it, I think the ThreadManager extension can be installed on as old as 7.0?? I'll try to delve into OpenWRT as much as I can, as I've gotten quite proficient in *nix OS'es. I think I have an old WRT54G around here somewhere that I can install it on...

@ants Good catch! I need to fire up my 'Mystic' Color Classic and see if the Farallon NIC has better success comunicating with the Vonets. (It looks like that's what you've got so I'm sure it will.) I actually went ahead and ordered the one on Newegg, so I'll follow up with my results! Random question - does anyone know where to get a DB25 to IDC adapter so that I can externally connect a SCSI2SD?? My CC still ha a mechanical drive that I would like to mirror over to an SD card...
