I usually use some Zinc primer paint, just makes it easy and not having to worry about grounding issues http://imgur.com/a/hEkDY

    Apple Lisa with Asset tags

Mines a way off with 90117 and I think the other one is either 90119 or 90117

    Apple Lisa with Asset tags

Awesome! Both of mine are 2/10s they both came with the screen mod but I don't think it was original since they were made around about Q3 '84, I forgot to say that mine actually don't have the "Property of Apple Computer" labels, they just have the metal plaque-like tag

Do you mean like the CPU and IO board etc in the back? If so no they look standard, although I haven't seen a Lisa up close before, these are my first. Yup the serial number looks normal but as above I haven't seen one up close before, do you want me to post a pic?

They could, would there be anyway to tell? The only hints are that the codes on the tags are two numbers off and that they are built right after each other, according to the sticker underneath
  7. Hi everyone, I've had these Lisas for a while, since about November. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the asset tags? From some research I've only been able to find one other machine which is this one http://www.qatest.com/AppleLisa/Apple_Lisa.htm

    Macintosh XL Boot Issue

Oh okay, do you know how I adjust the screen there are a couple knobs above the analog board?

    Macintosh XL Boot Issue

I've recently acquired two Macintosh XLs with asset tags on them and have managed to swap out all the boards to get one combination that works but when I boot it up I get this weird screen (attached) where it is split into thirds and it won't for some reason boot from the floppy drive, could it possibly be the boot ROMs? If so I have ordered some to reverse the Macintosh XL conversion anyway. Thanks in advance http://i.imgur.com/EjrEPxQ.jpg

Macintosh Plus 800K Floppy drive circuit

Yup okay thanks, do you have a picture or measurement from where I should start? And what way should I turn it? Also is there anyway to align it without having to remove the drive every single time? Thanks.

Oh, couldn't I just turn the motor until it reads?

Macintosh Plus 800K Floppy drive circuit

Haha, that would be a pain, anyway I've contacted my local computer store to see if they would be able to realign them. What did you mean not repairable?

Oh, is there any way to realign it? Because a drop actually broke that board. Thanks.
