  1. Open Apple Pin Badge

For all I know it could be for a New York Film Festival, but I'm getting nothing.
  2. Open Apple Pin Badge

Greetings. I've just acquired this "Open Apple" pin badge, and as you'd expect searching "Open" and "Apple" in any combination and context is not giving me viable links, and an image search yields naught. I'm hoping the collective brains trust might recall this pin, and be able to reveal it's history. Who knows, it might not even have anything to do with our Apple, but . . . . .
  3. PowerBook G4 Aluminium disassembly?

I used the iFixit guide. Kept the screws for each stage on separate card, clearly marked for position. Slow and steady, and you'll get there.
  4. Retrobrite Failure

My preferred retrobriting is http://www.callapple.org/vintage-apple-computers/apple-ii/shining-a-light-on-retrobrite/and Javier has demonstrated it at the past 3 KansasFests https://www.kansasfest.org/ and the last KansasFest demonstration was also recorded on Assembly Lines #52 https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjuo-uO47LWAhUIgLwKHXtUDtkQtwIILjAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DaFGS9xaaO_M&usg=AFQjCNEIW4nJDIw7rCty3vx475GPM_1z9Q Always test with something expendable, or less precious, and keep an eye on it. You cannot just leave it alone.
  5. Order by going to http://www.a2heaven.com/webshop/index.php?rt=product/product&product_id=147 There is also the PDF User Guide there if you just want to have a look.
  6. HD20 failure rate?

Just recently used my new FloppyEmu to boot my 512K with HD20 support. One of the two HD20s with cables worked, and I'm yet to test the third as it needs a data cable, but now I know where I can "borrow" one from.
  7. SATA SSDs

I'm using an OWC 60GB SATA SSD in my QS2002 as the OWC drives onboard SandForce processor handles TRIM support. http://blog.macsales.com/21641-with-an-owc-ssd-theres-no-need-for-trim When I did have a SATA/PATA adapter on it 9.2.2 recognised the drive, but the SATA controller card I've got it directly connected to now is only OSX friendly.
  8. IICI can't connect to QuickTake 100 or 150 H.E.L.P!

I found the easiest way to access my QT100/150 cameras is on my old Acer Aspire One (A150), running XP, using a serial/usb adapter and the windows version of camera connection software.
  9. Connect the old HDD (external case) to the iBook and boot from it. Use Disk Utility to re-partition the SSD, and then use CCC, or similar, to clone the HDD to the SSD.
  10. New iOS for phones . . . . . . . New OSX for Macs . . . . . . Now it's the turn of the venerable Apple][ line to feel the new OS love. Announcing the new and improved PRODOS 2.4 http://www.callapple.org/uncategorized/announcing-prodos-2-4-for-all-apple-ii-computers/ PRODOS 2.4 is smaller than the last "official" release, and boots faster as well, but most importantly it is compatible with ALL Apple][s, all the way back to the 1977 Apple][ Integer ROM, all the way through to the IIgs ROM3 running on 6502, 65c02 or 65816 processors. Download and enjoy today.
  11. I've matched my Cube with the 17" LCD. Seems the best aesthetic match.
