Q650 w/15" monitor (trinitron CRT), 32 megs ram, 512kVRAM.

Runs sweet!

What is the 'killer' button on the front panel supposed to do? Pressing it only gives me those pretty 'chimes of death' and adds a few extra chords (ones I've only heard animals belt out).

Maybe it has the same purpose as the mystery button on that Q950 I scored a while back ('hello, my name is...' thread)?

Sigh. So many macs, so few manuals, keyboards, mice, cords, modems.... Grumble.

That's the programmer's switch. It's for debugging and the like. You really don't need to worry about it. The one next to it, though, with the triangle, is the reset button. You might need that every once in a while.

What more could you possibly need? I mean, sure, there are faster busses out there, but what in the heck could you possibly need the bandwidth for? Audio runs fine with USB, and FireWire hard drives run plenty fast for anything.

The same kind of thing I used to add to the lower left rear corner of a Mac Plus, that kind of programmer switch? The thing where when you push it, you get a command prompt in a window?
