XMODEM and YMODEM File Transfer Woes

I have my mac (System 7.1) connected to my linux pc via serial.  I can successfully transfer and then open/run *.sea.bin files from the linux machine to the mac using either YMODEM or XMODEM.  However, when I transfer *.hqx files or *.sit files to the mac, it doesn't know what to do with them.  I have a copy of unstuffit deluxe (v2.0) on the mac, and it won't open the files.

I'm using Quick Link II on the mac.

Shouldn't it be possible to transfer a .sit file via YMODEM to a mac and have it opened by unstuffit?

Stuffit has many versions including OSX and they are not all compatible.  Get the newest version you can that works with OS 7.1.
