no it's not. I tried to connect to it to get something for the hotline server I am setting up on the WGS 9650 I conquested yesterday, but I am getting a connection timeout message. My server is still running 24/7: http://vcfa.890m.com/connect.html

You are spot on! I've given out many GBs of bandwidth for absolutely nothing, and now that the server is going south people are expecting me to fix it with the money I just happen to have floating around. The reality is, I've been sharing with people but they haven't been sharing with me. I hardly get any uploads contributed, and even though I clearly have a PayPal donate button on my archive's website which accepts not just PayPal but regular credit cards I've yet to receive any donations of any amount. You have to realize that offering these files for download is expensive, both in terms of bandwidth and in server resources. I've spent hundreds of dollars out of pocket to ensure that there is plenty of space for the archive files, and might have to spend a pretty penny to fix whatever is wrong with the server. The question is, how much do I have to give to this community before people give back?I keep telling people, you all gotta donate. If you really want this service to last, donate to the man! He has gotten NOTHING for his troubles.
I'd be extremely happy to donate, but I'm flat out broke, at the moment.![]()

and I may just stop doing it, we'll see how bad things are with the server and how willing people are to give back. But consider that if I do permanently stop my service, as things are now there aren't many places you can find the files I've been offering...Nobody asked you to do this. You are spot on!
