PULL THE CMOS BATTERY!!!!!
Toshiba laptops from that time use NiMH Varta PRAM batteries that leak rampantly and ruin the motherboards. (Same as on the 3400s and Kangas) Get it out before it ruins it! You’ll have to disassemble it a bit, but it’s worth it.

That Windows 95 CD Sampler tho. Very fond memories of that. It's where I first learned of 3D Movie Maker, which is now inexplicably even open source!
While we all love our vintage Macs, if you want to dabble in vintage x86 portables you rarely cannot go wrong with a Toshiba. I've had hundreds of crap x86 laptops over the years and all the Toshiba units continue to work well, are well supported (Dynabook freely have all drivers available), and easy to disassemble and upgrade. Even niche models like the Libretto (I've owned most models) continue to work perfectly.
My current all around favourite is a Toshiba 4020CDT - it's so good.

Some of the old Windows laptops are really funky, and fun, machines. I have an old HP Omnibook 800CT as an on-going background project. Weird, odd ball built in mouse, and quite small, but very heavy for its size, sub-notebook. I guess it was a Libretto competitor.
Do you know of a guide for it, or is it pretty obvious?
For this specific model? No, I usually just have to “figure it out”. A lot of them put it above the battery bay (inside the laptop, not accessible from the outside), but I’m not sure about this one. You can see if ifixit has a guide, or YouTube.
