Timbuktu Pro 4 on IIci with system 7.5.5 hangs on shutdown

Wondering if anyone has a solution to using Timbuktu Pro 4 and System 7.5.5. If running the computer hangs on shutdown; I can see the Timbuktu icon disappear in the right upper corner after selection of shutdown; then can use mouse only and computer hangs and doesn't shut down -- need to unplug or reset. If I remove Timbuktu from start up then it shuts down fine. Thanks for any suggestions. Is there a better version of Timbuktu to use than Pro 4? Seems to be a software issue.

If you're still dabbling with this and it is still acting funny, first try newer versions of 5 or 6 which should still work on 7.5.5.

Way too many variables to give you clear guidance without knowing more about the setup. Running over AppleTalk, MacTCP or Open Transport? A client or host system hanging on shutdown, or both? First thoughts are extension conflicts, and the network components.

Worked with Timbuktu from the WOS Data Systems versions in the 80's, through to installing 8.8.5 with the various hacks on unsupported versions of Mac OS after it was dead and buried.
