The Greatest Conquest Ever... Not

Well I stopped by Goodwill today and picked up a nice rolling office chair for 8 bucks. But I spotted one vintage apple product... A lonely cable all by itself. Not sure what it was used for, clearly not adb but probably for printer or modem. All I know is the connectors have a wonderful Apple logo on the end. Very long cable by the way. Might find some use for it. :)

As for the chair, it will be a lot better to sit in while I'm soldering instead of a hard kitchen chair.

From the sound of it, I think its a AppleTalk cable. It's one of the few cables Apple has that is long.

Thin?  3 pins?  Yeah Appletalk.  If it has 4 pins and looks like S-Video, that's be ADB.  If it has 8 pins, it's probably serial.  Thick cable could be monitor, power, or other uses like special cable used for DOS compatibility card or Apple IIe card for LCs.

Always nice to see the cable rescued. Otherwise it may have gotten thrown out as unknown or "weird propriety" cable.
