Turned up System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 in floppies has been corrected, but one problem detected, the "Install Disk 8.img" in the Apple Legacy Recovery CD (previously downloaded) seems to be corrupted. Can you find the working version?

There some other System Software 7.5.x that I cannot found in the internet. These are System 7.5.2 installation disks for Power Macintosh 7200, System 7.5.2 installation disks for Power Macintosh 7500, System 7.5.1 installation disks for Power Macintosh 5200, System 7.5 installation disks for Power Macintosh 6100 and System 7.5.3 installation disks for Performa 6400 Series. Can you find these version and find the download link?

Well, look at that. Didn't I warn not to trust the ones found from other sites? Use the one on Apple's own site!

Where is the link to System 7.5.3? Can you show the link image?

If it's down, PM me, and I'll fix it.

I might take it down if I don''t get a link to minivmac compatible images }:)
Not working. It's says "invalid request". How to open in my Mozilla Firefox for Windows?

Use Disk Copy 6.3.3 to convert to Disk Copy 4.2, then make the floppy. Or alternatively, try to copy the installation files from many 1.44MB hfv files. Place them all (i.e: Install Disk 1.hfv, put Installer, System 7.5.x Installation/Install System Software and System and minimum System Enabler and extensions you needed and Install Disk 2 and so on, place Installation Tome X, System Orts, System Morsels X, just like original.)

OK. You should something else to work Install Disk 8. Instead, you have a some dollars, so you have to buy System 7.5.3 in floppy images. After purchasing, insert the Install Disk 8 floppy disk, make the disk image and then send to me via e-mail. Or you have to make all them rest at all.

Find the google, search "HardCore Mac" then click the link. Search "Mac OS 7.5.3 on Floppy Disks". You find this? Now, you can.

Do you have a credit card to purchase this?

OK. I've finished fixing Install Disk 8.img. Here is the neat Install Disk 8.img here, it's based in rapidshare or mirror MediaFire. It's also available in my RapidShare LinkList.

→ Torrent link removed. 7.5.3 & 7.5.5 are available legitimately from Apple. ~tl

If not work, try this:

Do you want System 7.5.3? Get them below:

That's corrupt in places... Read the topic.
Well I had no problems with that Legacy CD from the first time I downloaded it from that link. But as you all talked about corrupted media I just tried to install the sys 7.5.3 on my mini vMac ...

::) :-* }:)

I can confirm what slomacuser says. I just try to install 7.5.3 from the floppies images found on the so-called Legacy CD Rar. It went just fine in Mini vMac. Disk Copy does indeed think image #8 has a bad checksum. Then what? Just mount the image and skip the checksum test! It's just that easy, really.

Note you may want to set Mini vMac emulation speed to 1x before mounting the image, in order to have the time to click on "skip" before it's too late! 8-)

Anyway, I posted the Mini vMac 7.5.3 .dsk 24 Mb image I just created (standard installation on a virtual Macintosh SE, no other software). Hopefully that will reduce the number of multiposts about System 7.5.3 around here, since IMHO it's one of the crappiest OS released by Apple. Basically useless since all Macs capable of running it can (and should) be upgraded to 7.5.5, and those who can should be upgraded to at least 7.6.1. Just my two cents, though! :)
