Hi!
I ran the installer for System 7.5.3 a few days ago to upgrade my new hard drive for the Mac. It took about ten minutes to do the whole job, but near the end an interesting status message flashed passed briefly.
It was saying "Reading xyz", then "Writing xyz", then "Building xyz" in turn for around five minutes, then about 3/4 of the way to the end, it started saying other things, and briefly, almost too quick to see, the message "Making your Macintoh happy..." flashed past. What is that? Was it meant to be seen? Does that mean that it was "blessing" the System Folder, or what? In any case, the installer continued with further tasks like nothing had happened.
Thoughts???
Thanks,
