Sorting Out The IIc

Mac128

68020
Just trying to get a handle on the IIc changes. I know the IIe turned Platinum around 1987 with the Plus. I believe the IIc changed colour, at least on the keyboard with the introduction of the IIc Plus. Can anyone confirm by comparison to an SE whether the case became Platinum as well as the keys, or if the case remained creamy-white? Also, the IIc+ was introduced in 9/88 ... over two years since the introduction of the Platinum IIGS. Does anyone have a IIc (non-Plus) that has the platinum keyboard? If no, then the IIc was the last beige Mac by almost two years after the entire Apple line switched to Platinum. Also, did the IIc mouse change colour as well or did they simply switch to the same platinum mouse for the MacPlus, IIe & IIc+?

Going from a IIc to a IIc+ would be more like going from an SE to an SE/30. Better processor. Better disk drive. Similar case.

In terms of the keyboard, I think the original IIc was creamy white case with beigish keys (or mine are badly yellowed by now). The IIc+ was platinum.

I think the keys were the same throughout, just the case changed from "snow white" on the IIc to platinum on the IIc+
