No, the 386 was obviously a donation of some sort, as the school is 99% Macintosh, 1% PC.

Nah, it was the schools PC. They just needed something to affirm their decision to go Mac.

To tell you the truth, they've been all Macintosh ever since they started using computers. They only use the occasional PC in the office. Likewise, the Compaq doesn't bear any district tags.
